Privacy Policy - PromptCam
PromptCam is a teleprompter and video camera app made by BJT Software LLC ("we", "our", "us"). This policy is short because our data practices are simple: PromptCam does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything you create in PromptCam stays on your device.

Data We Collect
None.
- No user accounts and no sign-in
- No analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind
- No personal information, usage data, or device identifiers are collected
- The app makes no network connections to BJT Software servers
Your Content Stays on Your Device
Your scripts, projects, settings, and recorded videos are stored only on your device. They are never uploaded anywhere by PromptCam. Content leaves your device only when you choose to share a video or save it to your photo library. Deleting the app deletes the content stored inside it (copies you saved to your photo library remain in Photos, under your control).
Camera and Microphone
PromptCam uses the camera and microphone for exactly one purpose: recording your videos when you press record. Recordings are written directly to your device's storage. We never access, view, or transmit them.
Speech Recognition (Voice Tracking)
The optional voice-tracking feature listens to your voice so the teleprompter can follow along as you read. This uses Apple's on-device speech recognition: your audio and the recognized words are processed entirely on your device, are never sent to BJT Software, and are not stored after the recording session ends.
Photos Access
If you choose to save a video to your photo library, PromptCam asks for add-only Photos permission and uses it solely to save that video. PromptCam cannot read or browse your existing photos.
Purchases
In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details. Purchase entitlements are verified on your device using Apple's StoreKit.
Children's Privacy
PromptCam is not directed at children, and because the app collects no data at all, no personal data is collected from anyone, including children.
Changes to This Policy
If our data practices ever change, we will update this policy here and revise the effective date above. Because the app currently collects nothing, any future change that begins collecting data would also be reflected in the App Store privacy label before it takes effect.
